CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE HEELS
Clean with a damp cloth and occasionally treat your heels to the following to keep the wood looking shiny:
1.Mix equal parts of any vegetable oil and white vinegar.
2.Slightly dip a clean cloth into the oil/vinegar mix, and rub it on the wooden heels of your shoes.
This will also make any water spots disappear!
CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE FABRIC
August Villa shoes are the work of talented artisans. They didn’t receive any treatment because I wanted to keep them as natural as possible and leave you the choice of the products you want to bring into your home.
If you wish to make their care easier and increase their lifespan, you can apply a fabric protector. Just make sure to always test any product on a less visible part of your shoes first and never apply it on the wood heel.
If your shoes get dirty, you can clean them using a natural stain remover stick.
1.Moisten the stick and rub it on the area that needs to be cleaned.
2.Using a clean cloth soaked in water, gently rub the soap in the fabric until clean. (Use cold water and be especially gentle with the back fabric to avoid discolouration.)
3.Use a clean cloth soaked in water to wash the soap off.
A FEW OTHER TIPS
– Try to avoid contact with water.
– Avoid using commercial cleaners on the heels.
– Try to store them away from direct sunlight.
